"They clearly knew Italy a little too well"
We used Virtuoso for a trip to Italy, they made it hard not to be impressed. Our advisor knew the smaller towns, train timing, and which neighborhoods actually made sense to stay in, not just the usual tourist answers. A few of the restaurant suggestions were so good it almost felt like they’d been holding out on everyone else. The whole trip felt much easier and way less like we were guessing our way through it. I’d definitely use them again.

i mean, I used virtuoso.com to find someone for a last-minute Italy trip, and I was surprised by how quickly an advisor got back to me.

She had availability that same week, and even replied after work when I had a quick question. I never felt like I was sitting around waiting or having to chase anyone down.
Overall, it was just really smooth. Having an actual person there to help made the planning feel way less stressful, so yeah, definitely 5 stars from me

"Felt really reassured by the advisor"
I had a really good experience. The advisor clearly knew their stuff and was able to explain all the little details without making me feel silly for asking questions. I just needed some reassurance that I was making the right call, and they definitely helped with that.

"Trip plan felt copy pasted"
I was hoping for a trip plan that actually felt personalized , but what I got was basically a generic list of hotels and tours . They didn’t really pay attention to my budget or the dates I gave them , so it just felt like a lot of back and forth for nothing ...

I wasn’t really sure what I was going to be charged until after the fact. The fees felt kind of hidden, and even when I checked the receipt and email confirmation, it wasn’t as clear as I expected.

"Nice perks, no hassle"
I’ve been using virtuoso for a bit now, the perks have been solid. The hotel upgrades and breakfast credits actually added up more than I thought they would, which was a nice surprise, like a really nice surprise.
The advisor part was easy too, just simple and not pushy at all. Not every trip comes with some huge bonus or anything, but when it does, it definitely feels worth it. I’d keep using it for sure.

"Pretty good with my hotel requests"
I booked a hotel through Virtuoso and added a couple of room requests, kind of expecting at least one of them to get lost somewhere along the way because that usually happens. But they handled most of it well. I did have to remind the hotel once, which was a little annoying, but not a huge deal. In the end, the stay worked out and I was still happy with how everything came together

"Helpful for ideas, but I expected a bit more"
I tried Virtuoso when I was looking for local recommendations, and it was somewhat useful. I found a couple of cool spots that I probably wouldn’t have come across on my own, which was nice. That said, some of the suggestions felt generic, and a few were definitely outside what I wanted to spend. Not saying it’s a scam, but I did expect the recommendations to feel a little more personal or actually local. The site itself was easy enough to use, I just wish there had been more detail from people who really know the area. Overall, not bad, but not something I’d rave about either.

"Nice perks, if you enjoy a little mystery"
I booked through virtuoso.com mainly for the hotel perks, like free breakfast and a possible room upgrade. To be fair, the perks did come through, so that was nice. The upgrade, though, wasn’t confirmed until check-in, which added a fun little “will they or won’t they” moment to my trip planning. The site itself is fine, but not exactly a joy to compare options on. Prices seemed pretty much the same as everywhere else. I’d use it again for the extras, just don’t go in expecting everything to magically sort itself out ahead of time.

"Helpful responses, maybe just busy at times"
I had a good experience with virtuoso.com overall. They got back to me with clear answers and the tone was friendly, which I appreciated. One of the replies did take a little longer than I expected, but I kind of got the feeling they might’ve just been busy that day. No real issue though—the communication was still helpful, and I’d use them again

"Hard to Use on My Phone"
I tried using the site on my phone and got confused quickly. After a few minutes of tapping around and not really getting anywhere, I just gave up. If my experience is anything to go by, the mobile version probably needs some work.

The site looked nice at first, but getting help with the booking took way too long. I also didnt really feel like the prices were anything special. It wasn’t awful or anything, just kinda meh overall.

so the flight details came through without any issues, which was great, but the airport transfer was late and we didn’t really get updated quickly enough. It wasn’t a disaster, just a bit frustrating after traveling

"Not sure I’d rely on it again"
I wanted to like it, but the info didn’t feel totally solid, you know... like I kept second-guessing what I was seeing. And when I tried getting help, support took way longer than I expected, so by the time they replied I was already kind of... yeah. Not sure I’d trust it again.

"Made our Italy trip weirdly easy"
The hotels were unreal and everything went smoothly the whole time, which was a nice surprise because usually there’s at least one travel headache waiting to ruin the mood. But nope, this was actually easy.

I was really happy with the hotel choices. The resorts were clean, comfortable, and nicer than I expected without feeling like I overpaid. I’m careful about price, so it was nice to feel like we got good value.

I used Virtuoso for a trip that had a few hotels, transfers, and smaller plans to keep track of, and it made things feel a lot more organized. If it had been a simple weekend getaway, I probably wouldn’t have needed the extra help, but for this trip it was nice not having to juggle everything myself. A couple of messages took a little longer than I expected, but nothing that caused a real issue. Overall, it made the trip feel smoother and less stressful, and I’d use them again for a trip with a lot of moving parts

"Smooth booking, but support didn’t really impress me"
Booking was simple enough, and I’ll give them credit for that. But after that, the support was kind of underwhelming. I had a basic question and had to follow up more than once before getting anywhere. It worked out in the end, I guess, but for a site like this, I expected the after-booking help to be a lot better.
